Dancing With the Stars head judge Len Goodman is recovering from prostate cancer.

In a statement, Dancing's Executive Producer Conrad Green says: "Len recently underwent surgery to have a cancerous tumor removed and is resting comfortably at home in the UK. He's feeling very well after the procedure and he, and his doctors, are very pleased at his progress. We wish him a speedy and complete recovery and look forward to having him back for season nine of Dancing With the Stars."

And Goodman told Britain’s Mail on Sunday he was first diagnosed in March, but kept it to himself because he didn’t want to worry colleagues or fans. Goodman claims the biggest downside to the cancer scare has been the time away from his favorite pastime. No, it’s not dancing… it’s golf!
