The voice of the new weasel in Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is Simon Pegg. Entertainment reporter George Pennacchio of ABC7 in Los Angeles talked with the British actor who says he had a great time with the role. But he was surprised to learn just how tiring it can be to act with just using your voice.

"I would always be exhausted by the end of the sessions and we would leave the louder, energetic stuff until the end, so in case I lost my voice," said Pegg.

Pegg is known for his comedy, but didn't have too much room to improvise on this project.

"A couple of times I would offer stuff up. If there were particular -- obviously Buck is British and I am British -- colloquialisms which I could bring up I would. But the script was so nicely written that a lot of the time it was just all on the page," said Pegg.

Pegg's summer has already hit warp speed with his co-starring role in Star Trek. Now with Ice Age added to the mix, he's living an actors' fantasy life.

"I would like to go back to England and make little movies there. Then I would like to come over to this wonderful town and make these kind of big fun films which are just, you know, a dream come true for a fan of film like me," said Pegg.

The film is rated-PG, Simon says he thinks there's something in this for kids of all ages.

"There is some wonderfully grown up jokes in these films and I don't just mean in terms of being risque, you know stuff that the adults can relate to," said Pegg.

"People often underestimate children, in what entertains them. The stuff that really captures their attention is often sophisticated and clever stuff.  So hopefully they will get a kick out of Buck. What's not to love? He's a great guy," he adds.
